Vendor Spotlight: Peddlers Den Technique Class

Agenda:

10 AM:  NIGHT AND DAY (masking and some color technique)
This class will teach you to build a scene using masking, as well as how to use the stipple brush, mono chromatic technique and values to create a stunning night scene! You will work on both coated and uncoated cardstock. We colored our daytime scene with Prismacolor pencils, but you can use your favorite medium.
Participants must bring:  black ink pad, assorted light to dark blue DYE based ink pads, scissors, asst sizes acrylic blocks (one must accomodate a 5" wide image), stipple brushes with long flexible bristles, white gel pen and your favorite coloring medium for the daytime scene (we used color pencils).
12 PM:  ~ Lunch Break ~ on own

1 PM:  MOUNTAIN BROOK SPOT COLOR PERSPECTIVE
This technique class is built on the art principle that things that are far away appear lighter (smaller and less distinct). We will be teaching you to use this principle to create depth in your scenes using only color! You will stamp, mask, insert some color with blending ovals, and end up with  a large 5x7 card which some people use as frameable art!
Participants must bring:   dye ink pads. We used assorted MAS yellows, greens, browns and a black. These are spring colors. Additionally you will need scissors, medium sized acrylic blocks (3x5 is perfect, 3x4 barely fits), wet wipes and permanent tape runner or permanent double sided scotch tape. OPTIONAL: If you own handles (stylus) to attach the blending ovals to, please bring them. If you do not already own something, I will bring some for you to use.

3 PM:  Demo:  Clouds and Water Using Bleed Proof White

Note:  If we cannot get 12 attendees, the class will be cancelled.  Registration will close on April 22, 2025
